Alan Crosland, Jr. (1918 - 2001) directed the two-part episode that launched The Bionic Woman. He also directed some of the most memorable episodes of either show, "The Secret of Bigfoot" and "Kill Oscar."

Background[]

Crosland is the son of Hollywood director Alan Crosland (1894 - 1936).[1] His father is perhaps best known for directing The Jazz Singer (1927), which was "the first [film] to use spoken dialogue as part of the dramatic action." [2]

Crosland started his own career as a film editor in the 1940s, but eventually found his niche as a television director in the late 1950s. He continued to direct television shows through the 1970s.
