Summary[]
Soon after landing on the moon to investigate the cause of its change in orbit, Steve is captured by Dr. Leith and his confederate, Eric Muller. Leith claims that he's on the verge of discovering dilanthium deposits that will provide Earth with a badly needed energy source. He declares that if Steve will not use his bionic powers to help him, he will use nuclear explosives in his mining operations that will cause even greater destruction on Earth.

Credibility[]
- When Steve kicks his way out of the ore container, he and the floor of the container fall to the ground in a manner inconsistent with the Moon's gravity, or rather, its relative lack thereof compared to Earth's gravity.
- The same is true when the moon tremor causes a canister to fall. It should not have been an issue, because the low gravity would have made it glide down to the deck more slowly.
