Happy Honda Days with the 6 Million Dollar Man 30

Femme Bot Fandango by the Goldman Quartet

Lee Majors provides the voice for the classic Six Million Dollar Man action figure as it leaps and bounds — via stop-motion and complete with Bionic sound effects — throughout Honda's annual Happy Honda Days campaign ad promoting its 2018 Accord. Animation provides hand and mouth articulation but gone is the see-through eye in favor of a regular one. It might take a Bionic Eye to notice that the "Femme Bot Fandango" by The Goldman Quartet is playing in the car.

Nov 12, 2018 - TORRANCE, Calif. Annual holiday campaign sees the return of Voltron: Defender of the Universe, Care Bears, The Six Million Dollar Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other classic toys

Integrated campaign features TV, print, digital, radio and social to highlight year-end sales event

TORRANCE, Calif. – Honda's annual Happy Honda Days campaign returns this season along with a new round of classic children's "Toys", including favorites such as Voltron: Defender of the Universe, Care Bears, The Six Million Dollar Man, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The 2018 campaign is a follow-up to the automaker's beloved 2014 Happy Honda Days nostalgic "Toys" campaign created to help shoppers re-live that childhood feeling of getting something they truly loved for the holidays, by getting a great deal on a new Honda as an adult.

Honda's 2018 integrated Happy Honda Days "Toys" 2.0 campaign features popular toys from the 1970s, '80s and '90s as spokespeople for Honda products including the Clarity Plug-in Hybrid, CR-V, Accord, Pilot and Ridgeline.

"The holidays are a special time filled with fun and nostalgic childhood memories and Honda decided to draw on this special feeling to create a fun holiday shopping campaign tied to some of millennial shoppers' favorite toys," said Susie Rossick, vice president of Honda automobile marketing. "With holiday advertising more noisy and cluttered than ever, we are continuing the Honda tradition of making the season unforgettable by starting 2019 with a brand new Honda vehicle."

Through the magic of stop motion animation, Honda has brought beloved throw-back toys to life actually using original versions of the toys in the campaign, along with original voice talent.

Happy Honda Days campaign extensions will span across digital and traditional channels, including display, social radio, print, point of purchase kits and multicultural assets. Media highlights include social promotion on Instagram Stories, Instagram and Facebook and TV spots running during NHL and NFL matchups including Thanksgiving games on FOX and CBS.
