John Sherwood de Lancie, Jr. (born 20 March 1948) is an American actor, director, producer, writer, singer, voice artist, and comedian, who has made many television appearances since he began regularly appearing on American television in the mid-1970s. He has contributed to a wide range of television series, ranging from real-life dramas like Emergency! and spy series, such as the 1980s version of Mission: Impossible to science fiction classics like the original Battlestar Galactica.

de Lancie is best known in science-fiction circles for Q, seen on various Star Trek television series. However, he has made similarly distinctive contributions to Charmed and Stargate SG-1. He has also done voice work for a number of series, including My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic as the voice of Discord; he was involved in the production of a documentary about said series' fandom.

His work on The Six Million Dollar Man was some of the very earliest of his career, coming just a year after he had landed his first role in Legacy.
