Sidney Clute (April 21, 1916 - October 2, 1985) began acting in the early 1950s. He played the recurring characters of "Det. Simms" on McCloud (1972 - 1977) and "Det. Paul La Guardia" on Cagney & Lacey (1982 - 1985).
