Trivia - Tennis Career[]

I guess my biggest question would be, what constitutes "significant"? Jaime's tennis career is again mentioned in Biofeedback, The Bionic Dog (Part II), African Connection, and Deadly Music (at least that's what I remember from my memory). Maybe changing to say, this episode is one of few throughout the series to mention Jaime's tennis career? I kind of like that the tennis connection is mentioned cause I have wondered about the continuity of Jaime's tennis career. Karen (talk) 04:51, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Funny, the trivia comment (by the unnamed editor, now removed) called up a point that bugged me too, yet Welcome Home, Jaime (Part II) pretty clearly states that Jaime didn't feel it would be sporting to use bionics in competition. The Bionic Book refers to the teaching gig reaching out to younger viewers (imagine if your teacher was bionic), while despite being a younger viewer at the time, I preferred tennis. I guess for me, my interest in the bionic shows had more to do with adventuring beyond my own experience, rather than touching base with it.
Having made the switch, I guess the producers felt they couldn't count on every viewer being "up" on Jaime's history, so mentions became few. It did have a "retcon" feel to it, but it wasn't. Kind of funny to see The Bionic Woman (episode) in hindsight when Steve is trying to convince Oscar to authorize Jaime's surgery, and says "Her cover as a tennis pro, it's perfect!" Yeah, what ever happened to that? -Major Sloan 22:21, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
